TAM Film Scripts is a lifetime of observation, risk, and creative courage.
During 33 years as a mechanical engineer with a 7-year “raid” into the investments markets as a stockbroker, Timothy A. McGhee worked to make a living while he turned to the written word to make a life. Writing was more than a hobby; it was a calling waiting to happen. When film professionals spotted his talent and provided the encouragement, he retired from the corporate world and committed fully to master the craft of screenwriting.
Through coaching, determination, and never-ending refinement, his first film script inspired by his stockbroker days has been recognized internationally with over 35 awards by film festival juries.
Tim’s storytelling draws from a lifetime of romance experienced then lost, his small-town roots, Roman Catholic faith, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of meaning, all laced with the sense of humor necessary to not take it all so seriously.
Today, based in his hometown of Mullens deep in the Appalachian coalfields of West Virginia, Tim is committed to developing films with an independent producer. TAM Film Scripts stands in not just a creative label, yet as proof it’s never too late in a man’s 70th year on the planet to Grip It and Rip It.
